JUNE 11, 1861
Their
aunt Diana and their older sister Helen needed them. They really weren't going for Diana's
sake. It was more for their sister. She had written them telling Kimberly all about the
problems she was having, so Kimberly had decided to leave and go to help her. Tyson
couldn't let his sister go alone. He felt obligated to help, too. So here they were
leaving Dreamville to go help Helen, a sister and aunt that they hadn't seen in ten years.
Tyson
waved at Desiree, Richard and Ivy. Kimberly placed her hand on Tyson's shoulder. She knew
that he was hurting, and she felt sorry for him. She waved at the trio on the platform and
hollered goodbye to them as the train started rolling out of town.
Desiree,
Richard and Ivy waved and hollered goodbye, too. They would miss their employers and their
jobs. For none of them knew if the new saloon owners would rehire them. That is if or when
the saloon got new owners. Ivy headed back to the boarding house, Desiree headed back to
the hotel, and Richard headed back to the saloon. Even though there was a closed sign
outside of the saloon, Richard had permission from Walter to continue to live there until
there was a new owner. Then it would be up to the new owner if Richard continued to be the
bartender or not.
