JANUARY 27, 1861
Kid and Ike drove the wagon into Dreamville. Kid was planning on asking Blythe to the Graduation Dance and the Cupid Dance while picking up supplies for Rachel.
Kid and Ike stood in front of the counter. Ike signed hello. "Hi," Kid replied.
"So what brings you to town or should I say the post office? Are you mailing letters?" Blythe was hoping that Kid had come in to see her.
Ike started signing, and Kid bumped him. "Ike!"
Blythe grinned. "Is it true, Kid?"
Kid nodded. He had to go ahead and ask her now because of Ike telling her that's what he was going to do. He was going to do it. He had just wanted to wait for the right time. He didn't like getting pressured into doing it, he thought as he frowned at Ike. Kid shyly smiled at Blythe. "Would you like to go to the graduation and the Cupid dance with me?"
"I would love to." Blythe answered. Ike smirked, and Kid was happy that she had said yes.
Ike signed that he was going to give Simon the supply list. Ike left Kid and Blythe alone in the post office and went to find Simon. After Simon and Ike got the wagon loaded with supplies Kid and Blythe came out onto the boardwalk. They all said goodbye. Blythe smiled as she watched Kid go. She was happy that he had asked her to the graduation and the Cupid dance. She didn�t want to go with anybody else but him. Kid and Ike delivered the goods to the waystation.
