Kathleen would be glad when Christmas break was here. She knew her students needed time to relax. She worried about all of her students, but she seemed to worry more about Melissa and Michael. Their grades were falling and with all they had been through its a wonder they even showed up at all. She was glad when Jacy had returned. Melissa was almost back to normal. Her grades were back up to what they were before Jacy left.

Michael was another story. Kathleen had heard about what all happened to Caly and knew Michael didn't know about everything. But he seemed to worry about her more then his schoolwork.

Saddling Ghost she rode into town. She decided that she would stop and see Richard before heading to speak with Michael's father.

Stopping in front of the saloon, she tied Ghost to the post. She went into the saloon to see Richard. She spotted Richard behind the bar talking with Steven. Walking over she smiled, "Hello Richard. Would you care to join me for supper at my place tonight?"

"I would love to. I'll be there as soon as I get off and get cleaned up." Richard smiled as he replied back giving her a wink. Then he went to wait on another customer.

Kathleen turned to Steven, "Hello Mr. Johnson. I was just on my way to see you. How is Caly doing?"

"She doing better getting back to her old self again. She's seeing Buck and Charlie. Michael hasn't accepted the fact that she�s growing up."

"Is everything else at home okay?"

"Yes it is. Thank you for asking."

"Mr. Johnson the reason that I wanted to see you is because I'm worried about Michael. His grades have dropped again."

Steven put down his beer and turned to her, "I'll have a talk with him about that. Thanks for letting me know."

"You're welcome. If there�s anything I can do, please let me know. I can tutor him after school if you think he needs it."

"I might take you up on that after I talk to him. Thank you again." Then Steven escorted Kathleen out of the saloon. He helped her with Ghost. Then he mounted King and headed for home to talk with Michael.
