KAREN'S RAFFLE DONATION

JAN. 13, 1960

Jacy was just coming outside as Karen was about to knock, "Oh, Hello, Karen!"

"Good morning, Jacy! I was wondering if youve found a raffle item for the men yet?"

"No, not yet. Do you have an idea?"

"Well, right before the accident my father bought us new saddles. His has never been ridden, and I dont know what to do with it cause its too big for me, so I will donate that for the raffle if you still need something."

"Yeah, that would be great! Thanks."

"Youre welcome. And at least I will know that someone will get some use out of it." Karen started for the door. "Well, Ill see you later. Ive got a lot of work to get done at the ranch."

"Bye, Karen." Jacy called after her.

Karen climbed into the buckboard and rode northeast out of town towards Mustang Hill.

JASMINE'S RAFFLE DONATIONS

JAN. 17, 1960

Jasmine gathered the dress and suit that she was donating for the raffles at the dance and went over to Jacys office to drop them off. As Jasmine walked into Jacys office she saw that Jacy was real busy with all the donations.

"Hey Jacy! How are you doing?"

"Oh hey, Jasmine! Im doing well. Im just real busy trying to get everything ready for the dance and the raffles."

Jasmine smiled and hoped that Jacy would be ok, and that she didn't work herself to death with all this planning and taking up donations. "Well, I was just leaving town to go back home, and I thought I would drop off the dress and suit that I am donating for the raffle."

"Thanks, Jasmine. Im sure lots of folks will buy raffle tickets to try and win them. They are both wonderful!"

"Youre welcome, Jacy, and thank you for saying that about my dress and suit. I will talk to you later. I have to go home now and fix dinner for my family. Have a good evening."

"You have a good evening, too, and thanks again for the donations." Jacy and Jasmine exchanged smiles before Jasmine left the office.
