Before heading out to drum up some business for her ranch, Karen rode in to town. She dropped by the PEG and left an ad that she wanted placed in the Pony Express Gazette with Melissa. Melissa had told her that she wasn�t sure how much Jacy would charge her, so Karen would have to wait and pay for the ad later.

Karen figured an advertisement might bring her some business. She had been hoping to chat with Jacy. She thought that she might be able to convince her to buy another horse for their ranch when it�s completed. Jacy probably would have bought a horse from her if Cody hadn�t gone and given her his. But since he had, Jacy wasn�t really looking for a horse now. Karen had thought it through though and she had some good points that she could make to Jacy on why it would be good for her to have another horse. Unfortunately when she stopped by to hand in her ad, Melissa had told her that Jacy had left a little while ago to have supper with Cody.
