JOIN IN ON THE FUN! Do you like the TV western, The Young Riders? Do you like to write TYR fanfic? Do you like to make new friends? If you answered yes to all these questions, then Im sure you would like to join us in one or more of these activities: YRMT Runs, BFP, CCT, PEG or the TYR RPG! Also if you would like to learn more about the members on the Young Riders lists then you will definitely want to take a look at the Bio Pages. Details about each are explained below.First let me introduce you to the YRMT. It stands for Young Riders Mail Time. This idea came about because there was nobody sending any messages to the TYR list, so I thought of this idea in hopes that people would start sending messages to the list. Young Riders are sent out to deliver letters to friends and members of the YRMT list. Yes, thats correct! I did say YRMT list not TYR list. My good friend, Aimee, made a list especially for the YRMT Runs, so that people on the TYR list wouldnt get too much e-mail. We are presently stuck on YRMT Run No. 20 due to the fact that I sent Lou to deliver a letter to Bryan and he never sent her back. Kid went in search of Lou and got kidnapped. Teaspoon, Lou and Bryan went looking for Kid but we havent heard from any of them. So the station is missing two young riders, a list member and Teaspoon. Here are the YRMT Guidelines:
To join the YRMT list please go to this URL and submit the appropriate information required. http://yrmt.listbot.com/My second idea was to have a Bio Page for members of the TYR, so that we could get to know one another and be able to see what everyone looks like. I have 27 members listed on the Bio Page and there are pictures on some of the bio pages. I would like for more of the members to send in pictures. If you would like to have your bio included please e-mail me and I will add you to the Bio Page. You can check out the Bios at this webpage: http://www.geocities.com/Nashville/Stage/4571/YR_Bios1.htm The next activity that I started was the CCT, Codys Campfire Tales! This is chilling adventures told by the members of the YRMT list. Cody and I started the tale and it continues around the campfire. You write for yourself and a young rider, so choose a young rider and join in on the FUN! We had a special edition of CCT called Codys Halloween Campfire Tales! Everybody submitted a part for them and a young rider and I put it all together and it is a completed fanfic. Whereas the CCT is still a continuing story. The fourth idea of mine was the BFP. It stands for Birthday Fanfic Page. When I started looking at all the bios and noticed that Aimees birthday was the same as mine except the year (I wish!). I decided to make a birthday page for her and then it just bloomed into doing a Birthday Page for everybody that I received bios from. Although I messed up on one by getting Wendys confused. I didnt know there was two Wendys on the list. I can admit making mistakes, after all Im only human. Theres nothing wrong with making mistakes as long as you learn from them. Fortunately, for me neither of them got mad at me. So far I haven't made any enemies on this list, just really great friends! Anyway heres some of the people who help with the Birthday Fanfic Pages: Aimee, Lyn, Suzy, Maja, Natalie and Sherri. These people are really terrific to lend me a hand. If you would like to participate then e-mail me. I can use all the help I can get. You can find the Birthday Pages fanfic and Codys Campfire Tales at the website addy: http://www.geocities.com/Nashville/Stage/4571/fanfic.htm Another project that can use more participation is the PEG, Pony Express Gazette. This stands for Pony Express Gazette. Its a newspaper that the Young Riders deliver to their subscribers. All you need to do to subscribe to the PEG is to let me know you want to receive it and you will automatically be a new subscriber to the PEG. Your favorite rider will deliver it right to you. Anyone can submit articles for the PEG. Some of the writers for the PEG are: Sherri does the Horse Talk articles. All articles are Welcome, so send them to [email protected].My latest project is the TYR Role Playing Game. Lots of members have joined in. Theyve created characters, stats and intros for them. We have a whole town full of people. The game officially starts on Jan. 1, 2000. The RPG Master, me, sends out the first round of characters actions. We have around 65 characters. So far the highest number you can choose on your turn is 69, but that will probably change in the future. If you want to join in, you know who to contact! |
