John, 31 years old, was sitting in his study looking over some paperwork when his foreman, Ernest Overly, 39 years old, knocked on the wall and entered. John sat his paperwork down and watched as Ernest walked up to his desk. "Mr. Vajas, we're missing some cattle on the range. I've deployed some of the men to find them."

"I hope it's just the weather that has scattered them and not any cattle rustlers." John said as he stood up. "I'll saddle my horse and help look."

"Help look for what?" The brown-haired pony-tailed girl asked as she entered John's study.

"Some of the cattle are missing, kitten," Ernest said as he pulled on her ponytail. He hated it when she wore her hair like that. It made her look much younger and him so much older than her.

She knew he hated it when she wore her hair in ponytails because he always teased and commented about it. "I'll help, too. Let me get my winter coat." She ran off and the two fellas followed her out but at a more leisurely pace.

John and Ernest waited at the front door for her. John buckled his gun belt and then started pulling on his coat. He looked at the staircase and watched as she came bounding down the stairs. Ernest also admired her exuberance. "I'm ready," she excitedly said as she stopped in front of them.

"Alright let's go. Stay close, kittykat, I don't want you to get lost, too." John stated as he opened the door, turned back and winked at her and then led them outside.

"Don't worry, I won't stray too far." She winked back at John and smiled at Ernest as he winked at her.
