MARCH 29, 1860

Destiny stepped out on the porch where Jemima was sitting and said, "Jemima dear. I am heading over to the store for some supplies. This might be a good time to replace that figurine you and Meg broke."

Jemima looked up from her book and said, "Yes momma." She got up took her book inside and grabbed her coat and hat. Then went to met her mother by the road.

Jemima and Destiny waked down the street to the store. After they reached the store Destiny said, "Sweetheart go see if you can find one that's similar to the one that got broke while I get the supplies."

Jemima went over to where the figurines stood and began looking through them. She found one identical to the one that got broke and took it to Mr. Cromwell and said, "I would like to buy this how much is it please?"

Mr. Cromwell said, "Its five dollars." Jemima paid for it and returned to her mothers side.

Destiny had purchased some sugar, flour, coffee and eggs. Javier totaled the items and said, "That will be sixty-seven cents please, Miss. Jones."

Destiny paid him then said, "Can you have someone deliver them to the boarding house for me, please?"

Javier nodded saying, "Yes, ma'am I sure can. I'll have it delivered to your place this afternoon.

Destiny nodded and turn to her daughter and said, "Did you find the right figurine?"

Jemima looked at her mother and said, "Yes momma. I did. I'll give it to her at the Easter Celebration." Destiny nodded and said, "I think thats a good idea, dear. Come on lets go home." Destiny followed Jemima out and they headed back to the boarding house.
