Jasmine closed the dress shop early one wonderful afternoon. She arrived home and saw Gavin sitting in the front porch swing of the house taking a break form all his hard work.

"What are you doing home so early in the afternoon?" Gavin said as he got up and hugged his wife.

"Well it was a very slow day, and I just couldn't stay cooped up any longer on a beautiful day like this. So I closed early so I could take a ride through our land."

"That sounds great, would you like some company?"

"I think I just want to go out on my own today. I wouldn't want to distract you from your work."

"Well ok. I am almost through for the day. Just be careful and I will see you when you get back. I will go saddle your horse while you change into pants and a shirt."

"Thanks, I will be down in a few minutes."

Jasmine came down and took the reins from Gavin and said their good byes. She was gone for about an hour when she came up to a huge gorgeous lake. She had never heard Gavin say there was a lake on there property but there it was plain as day.

"Surely he would have told me about this spot on are land." She said out loud to herself. It was truly an escape from the town. Jasmine got down from her horse and tied the reins on a near by tree branch. She sat on the shore and watched the animals on the lake. Just across the lake she saw a doe and her fawn. She just watched in awe of the surroundings and it's occupants. Time passed by and she decided she better get home before Gavin comes with a posse looking for her. She rode home and quickly went to find Gavin to ask him about the lake.

"Hey Gavin, I am back." Just as she said this he pulled her around and kissed her passionately.

"Wow! I am going to have to go on long rides more often." She said with a slight grin on her face. "There�s something I want to ask you Gavin. It's about are land."

"Ok go right ahead."

"Well, I was riding and came to a huge lake that was perfect and gorgeous. Did you know about it?"

"No where did you say it was?"

"The lake is near the west end of our land."

"Tomorrow I want to go down and look at it, I was so sure I had gone over all the land. I guess I just missed this place."

"Ok, great we can look at the lake tomorrow afternoon. I will try to come home early again from work."

They both agreed not to mention this find to anyone and that they would go tomorrow and look at it. The next day Jasmine did get to leave the dress shop a little early but not like the other day. She went home and her and Gavin left for the lake. They reached it and Gavin was just amazed as Jasmine was the first time she saw it. They both decided to leave the lake the way it was and that it would be a special place for the family to come too.
