"What’s you doing Jacy?" Melissa asked as she entered the newspaper office. She had been in their bedroom finishing up her homework.

"I’m looking over articles that have and haven’t been published yet. I get so many ideas or articles that people have brought me that I forget about some of them, like this one from Lara. Now that Easter and Meg’s wedding is over, I think this would be a great idea, but I would like to revise it a little. That is if Lara has no objections."

"What’s the idea?" Melissa sat down in the chair near Jacy’s.

"Lara’s idea was for people to trade jobs with other people, but to pay for the experience, and the money would go in the town fund. But I think it would be good if people appointed other people to a position, and then they can’t leave that position until someone pays a certain amount of money to have them return to their original work."

"That sounds like a great idea!" Melissa’s face beamed. To Melissa it sounded like it would be very fun. "So who would set the amount for the person?"

"The person who puts him in the position. For example let’s say I want Ted to run the livery and Justin to be the bank teller. So I would say that Ted can’t stop running the livery until someone pays the fund ten dollars, and Justin can’t stop being the bank teller until someone pays ten dollars."

"Can you make it any amount?" Melissa asks.

"Sure, but I wouldn’t make it to high." Jacy replies.

"Ok, but I would still have it where they couldn’t pay the money to get themselves out of the job. Someone else has to pay." Melissa suggested.

"That’s a good idea. Let me add that, and then I’ll take it over for Lara’s inspection.

Jacy took the article over to the saloon to show it to Lara. Of course the first one to take notice of Jacy was Tyson. He offered to buy her a drink, but she declined.

"Aw scorned by the prettiest lady in town." He grabbed his heart as if he might just die then and there. Jacy blushed. It seemed that she was always blushing whenever Tyson talked to her.

"I’m here to see Lara. Is she around?" Jacy quickly asked in hopes that Tyson would stop making a spectacle out of himself because the residents were staring at them.

"Well, since it’s Lara you’ve come to see and not another fellow, I think I’ll live a while longer." Tyson excused himself after telling Jacy that he would see if she was available for conversation. Tyson made his way upstairs and knocked on Lara’s door. She had been taking her lunch break but when she heard that Jacy wanted to see her, she hurriedly finished the last of her lunch and followed Tyson downstairs.

Noticing how awkward and unconfortable Jacy seemed to be, she asked her if she would like to take a walk and talk. Jacy agreed immediately, and they took their conversation outside.

Jacy discussed the article with Lara as they walked around town. Lara liked the revision and couldn’t wait to see what would happen. They discussed funny scenarios and then parted company. Lara had to get back to work and so did Jacy.

As Jacy entered the PEG her mind was already forming an idea, something that would get her closer to Cody.
