PRIMPING FEBRUARY 10, 1860 |
| Ivy headed over to the bank after her shift at the saloon was
over. Upon entering the bank she said, "Hello Mr. Brown. How are you today?" Ted looked up from his book and smiled, "Hello, Miss Simpson. I'm fine and how are you today and how may I help you?" Ivy replied, "I am doing fine. I would like to take $25.00 from my account, please." Ted nodded and handed Ivy her money, "You have a good day, Miss Simpson." Ivy took the money, "Thank you, Mr. Brown. You have a good day, too." She waved as she left the bank. Then she headed over to the dressmakers shop. Entering the shop she said, "Good morning, Mrs. McGregor." Jasmine looked up from her sewing and said, "Hello Miss Simpson. How may I help you toady?" Ivy said, "I need a dress for the dance." Jasmine nodded and said, "If I can be of any assistance, please let me know." Ivy goes over and looks through them and finally picks out a light sky blue one, not to fancy because she wears lots of fancy ones when shes working in the saloon. And she thinks that a more demure dress will be more to Noahs liking. Turning to Jasmine she says, "Here, this is the one. How much do I owe you?" "It will be $5.00, please." Jasmine takes the money that Ivy hands to her, and Ivy leaves the shop. |
