APRIL 10, 1860

Ivy looked at the PEG article, "I don't get it, I didn't write this. I wouldn't ever write this," she said.

"I know you didn't write it dear, and who ever knows you, knows that, too." Destiny affirmed, trying to calm Ivy's nerves.

"I need to talk to Jacy. Everyone thinks I wrote this," and with that Ivy headed off to the Gazette.

Inside the Gazette, Jacy was sitting calmly at her desk when Ivy came in.

"Jacy, how could you?" Ivy exclaimed.

"What? What's wrong Ivy?" Jacy replied.

"Wrong? This is wrong," Ivy said as she threw the newspaper at Jacy's desk, "I didn't write this."

Startled and surprised at Ivys outburst, Jacy stood up. "Yes, you did. You brought the article to me. You came with CJ Hudson," Jacy explained.

"No, Jacy I didn't." Ivy was very upset.

"Ummm . . . Well, I think you should talk to Mr. Hudson. He will explain it to you," Jacy wanted the get the hysterical woman out of here and away from here as quickly as she could.

Oh, he will. It better be good." Ivy exclaimed, and as she left Jacy sighed a note of relief.

She went towards Dreamville Hotel. She knew she would find CJ there. Ivy also knew that CJ and Clover were working together against her because she had seen them together plenty of times.

"Mr. Hudson!" Ivy shouted when she saw CJ drinking his coffee in the dining room.

CJ looked at her slowly, ignoring her angry face, "What can I do for you, sweet Ivy?"

"You know why I'm here Mr. Hudson?"

Catherine heard the noise and she walked out of her office. Eddie stood quietly as he watched CJ and Ivy talking.

Catherine stood in the doorway of the dining room watching the spectacle.

CJ said, "Actually I don't, dear."

"That article, I didn't write that and you know it, you were never my boyfriend," she affirmed.

"Sweet, you came here and asked me to confirm the article," CJ lied.

"No, I didn't. Youre lying! Why are you doing this to me?" Ivy was trying to hold the tears.

"Sweet, sweet Ivy. Don't cry. I did what you asked me to do," CJ kept his version of the story.

Coming from behind Catherine, Noah stepped close to Ivy. He knew CJ was lying and he would help Ivy to prove it.

"Ivy?" Noah exclaimed.

"Noah," she started as she turned to see him, the tears were falling from her eyes, "I didn't write this, I swear, I didn't."

"I know Ivy. I believe in you." Noah replied as he took her hand and wiped the tears from her face.

"Thanks Noah."

"Don't worry Ivy. We are going to fix this," he affirmed as he starred at CJ, who stood in silence.

"Noah," Catherine said, "Take her from here. She needs time to calm down."

Noah nodded and they started to head for the door. Catherine held Ivy's arm and smiling she said, "Everything is going to be ok, Ivy. This whole article thing is going to be forgotten." Ivy smiled shyly, and she and Noah walked out.

Catherine looked seriously at CJ, "CJ, what the heck are you doing to the poor girl? You need to stop this."

"Mac, I thought you were my friend. You need to support me," CJ replied as he started drinking his coffee again.

"I'm your friend CJ, but I don't need to agree with what you do just because of that," and with that Catherine went back to her office.

CJ drank his coffee quietly, and then he went to his room.

After Noah and Ivy left the hotel, they walked down the boardwalk. Turning to Ivy, Noah said, "I was looking for you. Anyway I wanted to ask you about the article."

Ivy started to say something but before she could Clover walked up. She smiled sweetly at Noah and glared at Ivy, and said, "How could you write that article? After you told Noah that you liked him."

"I didn't write that article and you know it Clover. I bet you wrote it." Ivy angrily said.

"Now why would I write it?" Clover replied.

"Probably to get Noah for yourself." After she said that, she remembered Noah was standing there. Looking over to him Ivy said, "Oh, I am sorry Noah."

Noah smiled and said, "Its okay. I know who wrote the article. Simon overheard the person who wrote it." Looking right at Clover, he continued, "I wont say who wrote it yet. I will give that person time to do the right thing,"

"Noah I didn't write that article. I promise you that." Turning to Ivy she continued, "How dare you blame me for something you wrote." Then she turned and walked away.

Noah smiled and said, "I believe you Ivy. When you say you didn't write it." As they walked down the boardwalk they ran into Simon. Noah extended his hand to Simon and said, "Thank you for letting me know who wrote the article. Oh you know Ivy, right?

Simon nodded saying, "Yes I do. Hello, Miss Simpson. Youre welcome Noah. Miss Simpson I hope you get this all straighten out."

Ivy nodded saying, "Thank you Mr. Cromwell. I know we will."

Simon nodded and excused himself, and he continued on his way.

Noah and Ivy walked back to the boarding house. Noah felt much better knowing Ivy didn't write that article.
