APRIL 16, 1861

The riders stood in the back of the crowd along with Steven, Michael, Caly, Ivy, and Blythe. Caly was standing by Buck, Ivy was standing by Noah, and Blythe was standing by Kid. Jimmy and Lee were standing by each other fighting the urge to hold hands. They couldn't let on that Lee was a girl just yet.

The little crowd of friends was stunned when news of Tally's real identity was revealed. They also started to worry that the railroad would take away their jobs, and Steven was thinking the same thing, so he turned to the riders and announced, "You all have a job with me if you ever need one."

Tally heard this as he was passing by and said, "Oh, you don't have to worry this is strictly a passenger train. I won't be carrying any mail on it, just people." Since Tally was in a rush he walked on past and tried to get to whom he wanted to talk to.

Clover was happy that the train was here, then maybe Noah would have to go look for work somewhere else, and Ivy would be as miserable as she was. Unfortunately she hadn't heard Tally say that he would only be transporting people on his train. But Ivy had heard him, and she was happy because she knew that Noah loved his job. She wasn't so sure that he would be able to find another job here in town, and she would hate it if he had to leave.
