JUNE 21, 1860

Ike walked into the Pony Express Gazette office, and Jacy greeted him. She immediately grabbed a pen and paper and handed it to him. "I wish I knew sign." Ike signed something and Jacys eyes got real big. Ike shook his head realizing what he had just done. Jacy smiled as he handed her the note. "Id like that, Ike." He nodded, and then wrote another note. She read this one out loud, "Jacy, why did you print that article about Ivy. She didnt write it. Clover did."

Mystified Jacy tried to explain that Clover was Ivy. But with another note Ike told her that they were twins. Jacy was unsure about this. Ike didnt seem like that type that would lie, but maybe Ivy had fooled him into thinking that there were twins, or maybe Ike just thought it. She wasnt sure what or who to believe. But she could believe her own eyes, so she told Ike if she saw Ivy and Clover at the same time, then she would believe that they were two different people. Otherwise, she wouldnt.

Ike thought about it and decided that what she said was fair. He would tell Noah, and maybe he could get Ivy and Clover over here to prove to Jacy that there were two of them.

Ike seemed somewhat disappointed that Jacy didnt believe him. "Ike are you still going to teach me to sign, and help me pick out a horse when Karen gets more horses. He nodded, and he gave her another note asking her if she would like to start tomorrow evening. "I would like to, but tomorrow begins the first night of Square Dancing Classes. Do you know how to square dance?" Ike shook his head. "Would you like to learn? We need more people to join. Cody has joined, and Jimmy has too." Ike pondered the idea, and thought that it might be fun, so he nodded his head. "Alright Ill sign you up." Jacy wrote his name on the roster. "Hey why dont you come here around six, and you can teach me some sign. Then we can ride to the Grande Square together." Ike agreed, and after waving to Jacy he left.
