INTRODUCING IAN! |
| Ian Grant alighted from the train in Omaha
and looked around the town. Soon he'd be in Dreamville and back with his old friend Luke.
It had been years since the two men had seen each other, and Ian hoped Luke would help out
an old friend. He knew that although Luke was an easy-going man with a quick smile there
was also a part of him that could hold a grudge with the best of them. With that in mind
Ian decided to get some help. Armed with a letter from Luke's mother asking her son to
help out a fellow countryman and friend, Ian was headed to Dreamville. When Ian had heard that Luke had moved into a growing town and had gotten his own business, a large house and a beautiful wife, he decided it was time to leave the sheep station in Australia and head for the states to try out his own luck. He was never satisfied working the farm and doing odd jobs in town, although it did keep him well muscled and close to all the ladies. It was time for him to stake out a new claim and make a name for himself. After all if Luke Saunders could do it, why couldn't he? So after telling his parents of his plans and getting the negative response he expected from his father, Ian began making the arrangements to leave his old life behind and begin a new one. Luke's parents, having no idea why the young men had stopped speaking, were more than happy to help Ian seek out his best friend. They convinced the Grant's to give their son their blessings and had even helped pay for his passage to the United States. He waited for the train's stable hand to get his horse down from the hold. Rogue was the perfect animal for him, tall and black as night, and he was fast and loyal. Ian had raised the horse from the time it was a foal. Rogue was a gift from Luke and his family and the one thing that Ian treasured in his life. Ian tipped the man and patted his animal's head and led him out of the station. He would spend one night in Omaha before heading out to Dreamville in the morning. He hoped that with this journey across the world his life would change. |
