AT THE VALENTINE'S DANCE! FEBRUARY 14, 1860 |
| "I think that man over there is looking at you." Gavin told
Jasmine. She looked to whom he was
talking about and whispered to him. "It doesn't matter because I am with the best
looking man in here." Jasmine looked into Gavins eyes as they slow danced in the center of the room. It had been a perfect night and the dance was going great. A lot of people showed up and there were many people dancing around them. Jasmine looked away and noticed an old couple dancing and thought how wonderful it will be for her and Gavin when they grow old together. They danced the night away, only dancing the slow songs because they hadn't learned to square dance yet. Throughout the night Jasmine and Gavin watched as Rose and Ted danced. They knew that Rose and Ted were just friends, and that Rose had wanted Jesse to ask her to the dance, but neither one of them saw Jesse. They assumed that he hadnt come to the dance. They had both been hoping to see Jesse to ask him if he would at least ask Rose to dance. They knew that if Jesse and Rose danced than tonight would be very special for Rose. They hated to see their daughter sad. |
