Grandfather: Unknown

Summary: Pru grew up in an orphanage but soon decided that she didn’t want to be tied to just one town when she left the orphanage. She had a short lived relationship when she was 20 years old which left her with her only family a 16 year old son named Absalom. He is a bit of a handful sometimes but occasionally she can even get him to help out on the wagon. When her son was 2 years old, she had saved enough money to purchase a wagon. Now she works as a freight wagon driver. She has been supplying items to Dreamville since the post office opened, past two months.

Love Interest: None doesn’t think she is pretty enough for a fella, but she is awful fond of the sheriff.

Now, I would like for you to meet my son! He can be a little terror at times!

INTRODUCING PRUDENCE!

Prudence watched her son with maternal pride, despite the fact that he had grown up without a father he was a fine young man. She ran her fingers through her short red hair and smiled at all that she had become. Who would have thought that when she had struck out on her own from the orphanage when she was 15 that she would have her own business later in her life.

Her eyes crinkled at the corners as she smiled watching her son paint the company name on the side of the freight wagon. She needed nothing else in life, just her work and her son, well maybe that cute sheriff would be nice too. She could count her true friends on one hand and they all lived in the sleepy little town of Dreamville. While it wasn’t her hometown, because truth be known she had no idea what her home town was, but it held all she needed, friends, family and a way to make a living.

INTRODUCING ABSALOM!

Absalom pushed his too long brown hair back from his face and scowled at his mother who sat on the steps of the boarding house with Rachel and Destiny, two of her friends, and watched him. It wasn’t that he didn’t love his mother. He did with all his heart. It’s just that she wont see him as the man that he is. She still sees him as her baby, and he isn’t a baby anymore. When on earth was she gonna realize that he was an adult in all the ways that mattered.

It frustrates the life out of him that the pony express boys are only a year older than him, and they are living on their own and holding down a steady and dangerous job. And what is he doing, he’s stuck working with his mother on a freight wagon, when all he really wants to do is travel and write. He doesn’t want to tell his mother that he doesn’t want to work with her. He knows that it will break her heart, besides she doesn’t have anyone else to help her. So until he can find a way out of this job and this town, without breaking his mother’s heart in the process, he would work with his mother but begrudgingly.
