AT THE VALENTINE'S DANCE! FEBRUARY 14, 1860 |
| Edward was enjoying the dance so far. He danced with Desiree almost all
night and he couldn't be happier. Cody approached the two and asked for a dance. Eddie
though a little jealous, didn't mind. Cody and Desiree danced to one song, and then Eddie
took her back. He didn't want to loose his date to anyone again. Later that night Eddie was watching Desiree talking with her friend Ivy and her date, the rider Noah Nixon, the two women were very close, but Desiree didn't feel the same about Ivy's twin, Clover. Not far away from where Desiree and Ivy were talking, Eddie saw CJ and Clover arguing about something. She seemed pretty upset. CJ then walked towards Eddie. "Hey Eddie" "What CJ?" Eddie asked looking again in Desiree's direction. "Clover and I are going soon, so if you and Desiree are going with us, it's better you enjoy the rest of the time ok?" "Sure," Eddie answered and then started walking towards Desiree. "Mr. Dixon, Miss Simpson," Eddie said nodding his head. Noah and Ivy smiled back and Eddie continued, "May I have this dance Desiree?" Desiree smiled at him, and took his arm. While dancing Eddie explained that CJ and Clover were about ready to leave. Desiree understood, and after they danced they said good bye to Noah and Ivy and left to meet Clover and CJ outside standing next to the wagon. |
