Destiny wandered around the store trying to find the things that she needed. Simon had seen her and Jemima walk through the door. When he saw that Destiny needed help in looking for her items, he offered to help her get them and offered Javier's assistance in carrying them to the boarding house for her.

Josie was behind the counter watching her uncle as he worked. She overheard him ask Destiny to the Halloween Party. While she didn't think he should have asked her while he was working, she decided to let it go. At least he was trying to get on with his life and not sulk about his wife being gone.

"Are you going to the party, Miss Josie?" Jemima asked.

"I'm not sure. No one's asked me yet." She told the child.

"I don't have a date either, but Mama said I could go as Morgan La Fay. She said that Morgan La Fay was King Arthur's sister. So I get to be a princess!"

Jemima said proudly. "You could come with us to the dressmaker's. We're going right after we get done here. I heard that she has a list from Mrs. Saunders full of ideas for costumes."

Josie thought a moment and when she saw the look in the child's eyes, she couldn't resist. "All right I'll come with you, but I'm still not sure that I'll be going to the party."

"Now how are you supposed to meet more people if you don't go to the party?"

Jemima had a point and Josie agreed with her. "I'll go to the party if that would make you happy."

"Good. I know you'll have fun!"

Simon asked Destiny, "What are you going to the party as?"

"I was thinking about the Lady of the Lake since she gave Arthur his sword."

"I was thinking about going as Merlin." Simon said.

"Great! We'll be two magical characters!" Destiny grinned.

After Javier delivered their items to the boarding house, Destiny, Jemima and Josie went to the boutique. Destiny and Jemima told Grace what they wanted for costumes and Josie picked out a peasant lady. Simon went in to order his Merlin costume on his lunch break.
