Clover knew Noah was trying to get her to go into the PEG office with Ivy so that Jacy would see there’s two of them. So far Clover had avoided him and Jacy whenever Ivy was around, so Jacy still believed that Ivy had wrote that article To make sure that Jacy wasn’t having any doubts Clover decided to check on her.

The sun had already set, and Clover was in the alleyway between the boutique and the restaurant. Seeing no one on the street she made her way over to the PEG office. She tried to open the door, but it was locked, office hours must be over, so she knocked.

Jacy opened the door and thought, Oh boy, just the person I don’t want to see. But instead of saying that she asked Ivy what she wanted.

Smugly Clover asked, "Aren’t you going to invite me in?" Jacy didn’t want to, but she did. Clover was eager to get off the street where anybody might see her.

Agitated that Ivy was here, but trying not to show it, Jacy asked her again why she was here. "I’m sorry to bother you, Jacy, but I just wanted to set the rumors straight in case you’ve been having doubts." Clover paused to see if Jacy was going to react to her statement. Jacy wasn’t quite sure what Ivy was referring to so she decided to stay quiet in hopes that Ivy would clarify her meaning. Since Clover received no reaction, she continued, "My name is Ivy, and I don’t have a twin sister. There’s only one me. I don’t have any sisters or brothers. So don’t believe everything you hear, OK?"

Jacy was beginning to think that being a newspaper owner was harder and not as fun as it was when she first started it. People were beginning to get angry with her because she wouldn’t believe that there was an Ivy and a Clover. Jacy was very tired and had been upset part of the day, so just to hurry up and get rid of Ivy she said, "I don’t believe everything I hear."

"Good," Clover smiled. "Well, that’s all I came here for. Goodnight." Clover spun around and left. Jacy was relieved that she was gone. She hoped that she wouldn’t see her anytime soon.
