MARCH 19, 1860

Clover had been fuming ever since the Valentine's Dance. She had gone to the dance with CJ on the premise that Noah would notice and want her instead of her sister. Noah hadnt even noticed that she was with CJ because CJ had practically ignored her. She had an awful time while Ivy had a wonderful time.

That's ok, she thought. I'll fix both Ivy and that newspaper girl. Jacy was the person that CJ had spent time with instead of her.

She sat down at the table in her room and began to write.

Dear Editor,

I have been enjoying your newspaper. I have, however, missed one thing. In other papers I have seen a column of what the citizens of the town are doing and what they are like. Sort of like an autobiography article on each citizen so that we all know what one another are like. I haven't seen this in your paper. I think it would be a wonderful addition to your lovely paper. I have written the first article for this column.

Thank you very much,

Ivy Simpson

Clover looked over what she had written and smiled. They were identical twins and this was going to be perfect. After this article, Noah would hate her sister. Then he would be all hers.

Clover then went to the hotel to talk to CJ and see if he wanted to add anything to the article. CJ loved the idea and had nothing else to add to the article. CJ went with Clover to submit it to the Pony Express Gazette. Mr. Cromwell was sweeping the sidewalk in front of the store as they were passing by. Simon over heard Clover say, "Noah is sure to believe that Ivy wrote this article and when it appears in the newspaper, he'll be all mine and Ivy's life will be miserable."

Jacy will never believe that you are Ivy. And if she does and publishes the article, then I will let everyone know who really wrote the article. Simon thought as CJ and Clover walked into the newspaper office.

"Good afternoon," Jacy said as Clover and CJ came inside.

"Good afternoon, Jacy," CJ replied, "This here is Ivy. She would like for you to print something in the paper."

Somewhat jealous Jacy took the papers Ivy offered her. She read it not once but twice. Before Jacy could utter a word, CJ took her aside and told her that he wasnt really one of Ivys beaus. But Ivy was trying to cool Noahs heels because he was getting to serious with her. They both thought that this article would do the trick. But one thing Jacy didnt understand was why Ivy had gave her the note about the article, so CJ explained to her that she did that because of a little problem she has, and that he would come back later to explain.

Well not one to turn down an article, she decided to publish it. It wasnt the sort of article she liked but she didnt want to be known as a publisher that would only print what she liked. She was sort of glad that CJ wasnt really Ivys beau. She liked him some, especially now that she knew there was no future for her and Cody. He hadnt even apologized to her. He probably was so full of himself that he never would either.

"Alright Ivy, Ill publish it." Jacy stated. Ivy smiled at her but Jacy didnt smile back. She didnt like the article but she knew a publisher had to be objective. She did however smile at CJ as they left.

Later that day CJ came back and spoke with Jacy. He told her that Ivy had a little problem. "It seems she sometimes forgets things, so if she should come in her claiming that she didnt give you that article then just play along with her. That way you wont rile her, and later on she will remember that she did give you the article. The doctors say it is a temporary amnesia and there is no treatment for it. And I decided to make her write that note about the article, so that if she wants to get mean about it, saying that she didnt write the article, then you would have proof if you needed it. I just thought I should forewarn you." CJ kissed Jacy lightly on the cheek and then left.
