Prudence, Destiny and Rachel were sitting at a table in the Restaurant. Charlie knew that Rachel was there. He had met her when he went riding a few weeks ago. He had also seen her at the Poker Tournament. And just a couple of days ago he had a nice long chat with her. Ever since he had heard about the Easter picnic, he had wanted to ask Rachel to go with him, but something always came up, and he never got the chance. As soon as he got a break he would march out there and ask her, but Clover and Alvie kept bringing him orders and he never got the chance before she left.

After the lunch rush was through, he decided that he would leave Clover in charge of the kitchen and Alvie in charge of the floor and then go for a walk. As he was walking down the boardwalk, he saw her again. She was sitting in front of the boarding house with the two ladies that had come into the Silver Spoon with her. "Hello, Rachel." Charlie said.

"Hey, Charlie." Rachel said. "These are some friends of mine, Prudence Jeldin, she owns the freight company and Destiny Jones, she owns the boarding house. Pru, Destiny, this is Charlie Montgomery, he�s the new owner of the restaurant. "

"Pleased to meet you ladies." Prudence and Destiny just nodded and smiled. "Rachel, I was wondering if you would like to got to the town�s Easter picnic with me?"

"Sure, Charlie. I would love to go." Rachel smiled. She was surprised that he had asked her, yet she was delighted. Charlie was very handsome, and she was surprised that he would show any interest in her. She was sure he could have any single woman in Dreamville, and they would have gone with him if he had asked them.

Charlie chatted a little with Rachel, Miss Jeldin, and Miss Jones. Then he excused himself to get back to the restaurant.

Pru, Destiny, and Rachel went to the dressmakers to get Rachel a new dress for the picnic.
