SEPTEMEBER 10, 1861
Caly crumbled up another piece of paper and
tossed it into the pile of several others. "Damm, I just can't get it right."
She looked at all the other papers that
laying all over the table. She stood and went over to the window.
The wedding wasn't that far off and things
didn't seem to be coming together. The only thing that was working out were the dresses
because Grace was back, and between herself, Grace and Rachel they were nearly done and
her wedding dress won't take long to alter.
Caly sighed as she looked out the window
over the sink. "Mama, I can't do this. I love Buck, but the wedding isn't coming
together right."
Feeling closed in Caly left the house and
headed for the barn. After Saddling Star she mounted up and rode from the yard towards her
favorite spot.
Pulling Star to a stop she climbed off and
let her horse graze as she sat under the big tree. Hoping the time away from the house
would help her think things through clearer, Caly leaned back against the tree and closed
her eyes. It had always helped her relax when she was feeling stressed out.
Her thoughts took her to what her life would
be like with Buck after the wedding and how happy they would be.
