As Caly was coming out of the barn from putting up Starbright, she saw Buck come riding into the yard. Moving over by the corral she smiled as he rode over to her. Pulling to a stop and dismounting he said, "Hi Caly, can we talk?"

Looking confused she answered." Sure. Come inside my father and brother are still in town so there will not be any interruptions. What�s wrong?"

Shaking his head as he followed her into the house he said, "There�s nothing wrong. I just wanted to ask you something." Nodding yes Caly led him into the house.

Walking in she motioned for him to sit. Buck took a seat at the table while Caly got the coffee going. Sitting down next to him she inquires, "What did you want to ask me about?"

Just as he started to say something she got up and poured two cups of coffee and handed him one. As she sits back down Buck takes a deep breath and says, "I can't decide which girl to take to the dance. So I thought I would go with someone I really know and enjoy being around. So would you like to go with me to the dance?"

Seeing the look of anticipation on his face Caly says, "Yes I would love to go to the dance with you."

Buck smiles and gives her a big hug and says, "Great. I'll pick you up an hour before the dance since it�s at Caller Bob�s place on the other side of town. Okay?"

Nodding yes she replies, "That's great, but what are you going to do about White Wolf?"

Shrugging his shoulders he says, "I am not sure. Maybe someone will ask her. I'll let you know what happens." As they walked out of the house and Buck mounted up, he leaned down and said, "Now you are going to be a lady at the dance right?"

Smiling at him she as she swats at his leg, she says, "Of Course I will be a lady."
