PRIMPING FEBRUARY 14, 1860 |
| There was a line inside the bank when Absalom got to there, and they were
about to close for the day. "Please, Mr. Simmons, let me get some money out of my
account real quick." "Of course, Mr. Jeldin. There is still a few more minutes before we close." Walter replied. "Thank you." Absalom said as he walked over to Ted's teller window. "Good evening, Mr. Brown." "Good evening, Mr. Jeldin. What can I do for you today?" "Well, I need $35 out of my account please." "You have a date for the dance?" "Yes, Sir." "A lot of people have been coming in lately because of the dance. Who are you going with?" "Miss Boudreaux." Absalom said proudly and took his money. Absalom made it over to the dressmaker's Shop before Jasmine closed up for the day. "Good evening, Mrs. McGregor." "Good evening, Mr. Jeldin. What can I do to help you?" "I need a new suit for the dance." Jasmine showed him the suits. He tried on several before deciding to buy a black suit. Jasmine did a few quick adjustments then Absalom paid for the suit and headed home. Absalom went to get Kathleen for the dance about an hour before the dance, so they would have plenty of time to get there and look around at the crafts and also have time to eat before the music started. "You look radiant tonight." Absalom smiled as he used one of the words that she had him use in place of pretty in one of his poems. "Thank you. You look dashing yourself." Kathleen said. They chatted on the way to Caller Bob's place. |
