ELVIS

For this special photograph, the Presley Estate's full inventory of Elvis' guitars is displayed on the staircase in the Graceland Mansion foyer. On any given day, visitors see many of the guitars in the various exhibits, while the rest usually remains in storage An interesting component of this collection of stringed instruments is an old Stradivarius-copy violin that had been tucked away in one of Elvis' closets. He was actually known on rare occasions to strike a few chords on the fiddle in private, but not on stage.
