Currently there are 550 lactating cows in the dairy center, but including dry cows, there are 625 cows. The goal of Norman and Sallie is to expand up to 1,200 lactating cows. Half of the expansion will be accomplished by all the replacement heifers Sallie is raising, and the other half will be done by leasing heifers.
