Hi:
I am the grandmother of an 8 year old grand daughter. She loves
Terri's music.
She lives with me because her mom (my
daughter) is a drug addict and is in an 18 month long rehab center. She
seldom gets to see her baby sister (3 times since Nov.)
and the step-father doesn't even make an attempt to see her. Basically she
has lost all family except me. I have recieved total
gaurdianship of her.
The only 'life' this kid has had was babysitting and watching her mom
and step-dad do drugs. And at that age they can't walk away from a
situation. She lived with me from when she was born up until my daughter
married. And all we know about the 'real' dad is that he is in a prison.
When my daughter finally married the 'step-dad' thenI wished them well
and they moved from this area.
I am asking if Terri could sign a t-shirt or take a minute to talk to
Krystyn-8yr.old
at the concert in Eurek California on the 1st of October. Doesn't seem
like much but Krystyn already wears the clothes-
has the hat and boots--she looks 100%
better now than she did in November. I
am doing my best to help her learn to be a little kid again!
If anyone who gets this would ask Terri to say hello to Krystyn; well
it would be a wonderful thing.
Thank you,
Lynn

Dear Lynn,
Hello. My name is Travis Handy. I operate the TERRIfic Terri Clark
website. I was very sorry to hear of your situation, and I am also very
sorry to have to tell you that I am in no way in contact with Terri Clark,
or her management, or her record label. That is really sad, because my
sister and I, who run the TERRIfic Terri Clark Webpage together, often get
emails showing great adoration and respect for Terri and we also get a large
number of emails with requests like yours. I have an idea, though, of how
we can get the messages from you and others who have emailed me mistakenly
thinking that we are affiliated with Terri.
Here is my idea: I think it would be really great to have a feature on my
website about how Terri is touching people's lives, etc... and I am thinking
about featuring these emails that I have recieved. I was emailing just to
ask your permission to use your touching story on my website. I thought it
would only be right to ask. Please email me back soon to let me know.
Thank you for your interest in Terri. We are sure she would be very touched
by your story... maybe someday she will
get to see it.
Respectfully yours,
Travis Handy-Webmaster, The TERRIfic Terri Clark webpage.

WOW! Finally got a hold of someone as most do not care! Thank you for
your wishes for my grand daughter. My biggest wish is for her to not be
so scared I wont be there for her!
Please, surely use her story and I will pray that someone will care
enough to just talk to her or sign a shirt we will buy for her there. I
thank you very much-most folks don't care and are throwing thier children
out with the garbage! It is very sad and
this kid needs to have a role model in
her life.
SO you certainly can use what I wrote to you---maybe just will help
others to open their eyes to what is happening to our
childrens' children!
Thank you again and if nothing comes of it that is okay also. I can save
our letters and when she is older she will see that all adults are not
bad,
Lynn 10-27-99
We would like to get your feedback on this new feature. Please email your thoughts to [email protected].
