As I have studied the Bible for a long time and attended about every type of church or ministry in existence, that is called Christian, I have come to realize that the body of Christ is just that, a BODY. As such, it requires that every joint supply something, exhortation, encouragement, insight, revelation, whatever God gives to that individual.

The problem that I see is that in almost every church setting of the organized churches, there is not the opportunity for individual members of the body to share what God has revealed to them, or what they have learned through diligent studing of the Bible. I see this as a great shortcoming on the part of our pastors. I have heard many of them express openness and willingness to have such operations take place in their "church," but for most part it's all talk and when it comes right down to where the rubber meets the road, they are not willing to follow through. Honesty and teachability are what is needed in the church, willingness to receive correction or truth that can be proven from God's Word, the Bible.

I have been a lay pastor, and have acted as pastor when we had no pastor for months, and have done evangelistic work and visited the sick and prayed for those who had incurable diseases, helped conduct funerals, counseled on the telephones for CBN, all those things, but there is not the freedom to share what you have learned that may contradict the orthodox thought on whatever subject you may have studied.

It's as if the pastors have the exclusive right to what is truth. That right belongs to God and He can bring understanding through whomever He wishes.

Let me say this. Just because your understanding of a Scripture is not what orthodoxy says it should be, does not make it wrong.
Orthodox means "conforming to established doctrine especially in religion."

Just because it is the established doctrine does not make it correct. How many people believe it does not make it true.
A heretic is one who does not believe the orthodox doctrine, so I get called a heretic by some. All I am trying to do is shed more light on the truth and dispel the phony or erroneous ideas that have come out of ignorance and are yet propagated by gullible people who believe they are correct.
I have no axe to grind with anyone, I am just against error.
If you think I am in error, please say so. I have an e-mail address with this Web Page for that purpose. I am not under the delusion that I know everything. Just give me the evidence to show me where I am in error and I will change. I am a seeker of the truth, willing to change, if the evidence is there to show that I should.  It is no secret that this webpage is written from a preterist perspective.  That is because the preterist view of prophecy fulfillment is the correct one.  The futurist view is wrought with error and confusion and espouses much doctrine not found in the Bible.

I believe that the orthodox view, where it is in error, has caused much consternation and undue hardship, fear and grief for many. Of course, I agree with most of the orthodox view. There are some problems, however, which are often based on the translations of the Bible we have which are not faithful to the Greek or Hebrew texts.
