Dale was so much part of my family. From the first memories
I have of watching racing, it was always for the #3. My family and
Dale’s fans opened up their lives to him every Sunday, and as far as we
are concerned, the sun rose and set with Dale Earnhardt each race he was
in and the few he wasn’t.
After all these years, Dale is now reunited with his
Father. The gates of Heaven are opening, He is slowly revving the #3 engine
as he drives through the gates, to see his Dad and tell him he is the Seven
Time Winston Cup Champion. Ralph must be so proud of his son. All Dale
ever wanted, was that his Dad could know how much he accomplished thanks
to him.
Now Dale is racing in Heavens Raceway, and he’s leading
the pack of those drivers who died before him. God's going to have
to get himself another car. Because Dale is taking back his Black GM Goodwrench
Chevy Monte Carlo. He’s going to teach them all his motto, “Rubbin' is
Racing!”
So Earnhardt fans on a gloomy and stormy day, just look
up toward Heaven, listen close and give a great big smile, because you
might be able to hear em racin'!
My dilima is… What
do you do, when you've already rooted for the best and you know there will
never be another? I just think it will be hard to think of any other driver
that can live up to our standards, after so many years of the Dale Earnhardt
standard of driving. The pain in my heart will never go away. Dale
touched my family’s hearts and our lives. Dale, you will race in our hearts
forever.
