There are all kinds of changes lined up
for the 1998 season. Many Drivers will
be changing Cars and Race Teams.
1st of all the #30 Penzoil Car will be
controled by Dale Earnhardt's Racing
team. The contract was pulled from
Bahari Racing 2 weeks ago. Johnny Benson
driver of the #30 Penzoil Car has signed
a contract with Roush Racing team. Benson
was Rookie of the Year in 1996. Steve Park
will drive the car for Dale Earnhardt.
Bobby Hamilton will not be driving for
Richard Petty Racing Team next year either.
Bobby will be driving the Kodak car that
was driven by Sterling Marlin this Year.
Sterling will be driving the Coors car,
that was driven by Robbie Gordon this
year.. It is rumored that Robbie will be
leaving Winston Cup racing altogether..
Ernie Irvan is leaving Robert Yates racing
team after this season. Yates has already
signed Kenny Irwan Jr. to replace Irvan..
Ernie has already signed a contract to
drive the Skittles Car, driven by Derik
Cope this season...It is unsure of what
will happen to Cope.. It was announced
this week that Derik Cope has signed a
3 year contract with Bahari Racing team.
As of Press time, Bahari has No Sponser
It is also rumored that Bill Elliott will
put on a second car, to be driven by Ron
Barfield of course. Ron has been driving
New Hollands Bush car..
Melling finally has a sponser!!! Lake Speed
will be driving the Cartoon Network Car. It
is about time that Melling finally got a
sponser...
