Growing up in a musically inclined family, Bob had learned to play the banjo, mandolin, and harmonica. Forty five years ago he heard Chet Atkins and decided to try the guitar. He found that he liked it, and has played and taught guitar since that time. Bob can pluck his guitar strings with any and all the fingers on his right hand. His pickin' can sometimes send chills up your spine (mine, anyway). He also spent seven years as a DJ at WMOV in Ravenswood, WV.
Bob is now single and lives in Parkersburg, WV. He is still teaching occasionally and finds playing with the Last Chance Band to be "a lot of fun".
