The Dutch Version Of This Website
Although Jim Reeves had an ear for timeless songs, it was clearly his incomparably warm, "velvet" baritone, intimate phrasing, exacting diction, precise pitch and superior expressiveness which made him an artist of enduring significance. It is the purpose of this website is to gather information about the man and his music, and to freely distribute this material across the globe. Moreover, it is my sincere desire that this website should be an international effort in the spirit of worldwide cooperation. Therefore, if you have anything that you would like to contribute such as stories, photographs, video, etc., or if you would like to help translate any portion of this website, please contact Eric at [email protected]. Like Jim always said "The shortest distance between two hearts is a song."
IMPORTANT: If anyone knows how to contact James Newberry (possibly a resident of San Francisco, California), please contact me asap. He is an avid collector of Jim Reeves memorabilia and it has been reported that his collection may be up for sale. This is one guy we've got to track down before he sells off all those rare Reeves items!!!! My email address is [email protected] (or you can contact Larry Jordan, whose e-mail address is [email protected]).

*Attention: PC users, you may need to download and install this software (722 kb .exe file) in order to view these files. I have designed this website for use primarily with a PC using Netscape. However, since I do not wish to exclude anyone from learning more about Jim Reeves, I am attempting to make it more accessible for Mac and Internet Explorer users. Currently, I am trying to locate software to convert AVI files to MOV files and WAV files to AU files. If anyone knows where I may obtain such software, please let me know asap. I welcome any suggestions for the improvement of this website. Here is a conversion utility (AVI to MOV) for use on Mac's which was sent by fan.
