Four Wall Dance



Individual line dance—all dancers face the same direction, heels together, hands on hips
Standard steps for gentleman and lady are identical


Right Brush, Cross, Brush, Step - with Arm Swings

Arm Swings in Counts 1-16: Bend both arms so they are parallel with the floor. Move both arms together in the direction of the brush motion (like shoveling). (Rhythm = forward, back, forward, "snap")

1. Right toe brush forward
2. Right toe brush in front of left leg to the left
3. Right toe brush forward
4. Right foot step forward and snap your fingers


Left Brush, Cross, Brush, Step - with Arm Swings

5. Left toe brush forward
6. Left toe brush in front of right leg to the right
7. Left toe brush forward
8. Left foot step forward and snap your fingers


Right Brush, Cross, Brush, Step - with Arm Swings

9. Right toe brush forward
10. Right toe brush in front of left leg to the left
11. Right toe brush forward
12. Right foot step forward and snap your fingers

38-39. Right toe pivot 1 turn CCW and lift left foot (may use left foot to push into the turn-in any case it has to be off the floor)

Modified Jazz Box to the Left with 1/4 Turn CCW

41. Right foot step in front of left leg
42. Left foot step backward
43. Right foot step to the right
44. Left foot step to the left 1/4 turn CCW


Hip Bumps

45. Right foot step to the right and hips bump to the right &. Hips relax to center
46. Hips bump to the right
47. Hips bump to the left &. Relax hips to the center
48. Hips bump to the left


2 Sets - 3 Toe Touches and a Monterey Turn

49. Right toe touch to the right
50. Right toe touch forward
51. Right toe touch to the right
52. Left toe pivot 1/2 turn CW and then right foot step to close to left foot

53. Left toe touch to the left
54. Left toe touch forward
55. Left toe touch to the left side
56. Right toe pivot 1/2 turn CCW and then left foot step to close to the right foot


Touch, 1/2 Turn CCW, Syncopated Cha-Cha Step

57. Right toe touch forward
58. Left toe pivot 1/2 turn CCW
59-60. Right foot step forward, left foot step to close to right foot, and right foot step forward


Toe Touch, Syncopated 1/2 Turn-Walk, CW 1/4 Turn CCW

61. Left toe touch forward
62. Right toe pivot 1/2 turn CW &. Left foot step diagonally forward and to the left
