| Milk'n'Wool Shepherds is a small family run sheep farm.� We sell sheep's milk, naturally raised lamb, Mennonite farmer sausage (from lamb), East Friesian breeding stock, hand-made wool products and fiber.� PLEASE NOTE, AS OF APRIL, 2000 WE HAVE SOLD OUR FLOCK OF SHEEP - WE ARE HOWEVER STILL SELLING WOOL, FELTED AND SHEEPSKIN PRODUCTS. ALSO NOTE:::: AS OF AUGUST , 2001, WE HAVE RELOCATED TO SWIFT CURRENT, SASKATCHEWAN. WE ARE ONLY SELLING WOOL , FELTED ITEMS AND SHEEPSKIN. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Farm was situated� 30 miles north east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.� We had 40 acres dedicated to barns, sheds, corrals and paddocks designed to enhance rotational grazing.� We also leased 320 acres of prime alfalfa and grain production land for our feed requirements. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We were the first sheep dairy in Saskatchewan and one of a few in Canada. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We established our dairy operation in 1996, with our first milk season in Spring , 1997.� We then increased our herd from 6 - East Friesian ewes to� 87 ewes lambing this Spring, 1999.� We were milking in excess of 70 ewes in 1999. .�We pasteurized sheep milk and were offering other dairy products to include ice cream, yogurt and cheese. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
