      b. 29-May-1808, Baltimore, MD. He came to Shepherdstown, with his parents. After marrying Susan, they moved to New York City, where Susan soon died. George returned to Shepherdstown and later removed to IL where he married Catherine Welsh.
      
   4. Amanda M. Shepherd, b. 8-Nov-1812,
      married 1st. George W. Weber,
      married 2nd., 18-Jun-1839, Phillip W. Weber, b. 28-Jan-1812, Shepherdstown, VA. He is said to have gone south.
      
   5. Mary E. Shepherd, b. 31-Oct-1813
      
   6. Joseph Shepherd, b. 11-Jul-1816
      
   7. John J. Shepherd, b. 1821, VA,
      married 1st., Sangamon, IL, Susan Pettus,
      married 2nd, Mrs. Annie Lewis, no children. They lived at Lincoln, IL.
      
   8. Sarah C. Shepherd, b. 4 or 5-Jul-1823, Shepherdstown, VA,
      
   9. James Shepherd
      This James is not named on some records of this family. He lived with his family at Blackford or Blachford's Ferry, Washington Co., MD until 1836 and then removed to Sangamon Co., IL
      
   10. Harriet Shepherd. She is not named on some lists of children for this family.
2. Thomas C. Shepherd, b. 28-Jun-1806, Shepherdstown, VA,
   married 3-Jul-1834, at Shepherdstown, VA, Ellen Miller, b. 24-Jun-1813, Shepherdstown, VA.
   They lived at Blachford's Ferry, MD, until after their first child was born, when they purchased a farm six miles south of Springfield, IL, in 1835. They removed to IL, 17-Nov-1836, to settle on their farm.
