A dear cousin quotes an unknown philosopher or sage who says that our ancestors
were wanderers and the only clue to who they were was their surname. Even that may be
in question and so we also wonder. We wonder who they were.
We are left with only what we find in the records, family papers, the spoken words of our
relatives, published histories and the other sources that we seek. The stone cutters who
engraved the grave markers of our ancestors, we have special fondness.
We share and pass on the past or it will be lost forever. We welcome any additions and
corrections offered. We make no claims other than what information we present is as we
found it as accurately as we can make it.
