Our Mommy and Daddy sleep with their door open, so we can sleep with them when we want to. When Mommy's alarm clock goes off, she feeds us before she does anything else. Some mornings, the alarm doesn't go off. We don't let her sleep through our breakfast time, though. We get her up. After we eat, we let her go back to bed, but not for long! We want her to get up and play with us! Of course, once she's up, we run away if she wants to pet us. It's playtime, or nothing!
I (August) get Mommy up by kneading her hair. If that doesn't work, I start playing with her hair by hitting pieces of it with my paw. If she still doesn't get up, I sit next to her head on the pillow, and flick my tail under her nose. Mom has been known to fall back to sleep by holding her hand over my tail. So, finally, I put my nose really close to her face and meow! Usually, she gets up after that!
If we have to go in our carriers in the car, we cry the whole time- even when we're on our way home. After all, we don't like it, and we sure aren't going to let Mom enjoy the ride either.
We had a Bunny Brother. He was a Florida White Dwarf, and only weighed two pounds. He was almost eight years old when we moved in the summer of 1998. He died October 7, 1999. He wasn't much interested in playing with us, and Mom kept us apart, but we knew he was there and we will miss him.
