FRESH BERRY DESSERT

CRUST:
1 1/2 cup flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 stick margarine
pinch of salt

Mix well and spread in 9 x 13  pan.  Bake at 350* until light brown, about 15 minutes.

FILLING:
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
l large container Cool Whip
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Cream cheese and powder sugar.  Fold in Cool Whip.  Blend well and spread over top of crust.  Set aside and prepare topping.

TOPPING:
1 1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Karo syrup
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 small package fruit flavored Jell-O
Berries of choice

Mix cornstarch with sugar in saucepan.  Add water and syrup.  Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 2 minutes, remove from heat and add Jell-O.  Stir well.  Allow to cool slightly.  Arrange fruit on top of filling.  Gently pour topping over fruit.  Refrigerate until serving time.
