CHICKEN AND RICE

2 packs Onion Soup mix
2 & 1/2 cups water
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 cans milk
1 & 1/2 cups uncooked rice

Bring onion soup mix and water to boil.  Add chicken soup and milk and cook & stir until smooth.  Put rice on the bottom of a 13 X 9 pan.  Pour soup mixture on top of rice. Place chicken (brown in fry pan first if
desired) on top of rice and soup mix. Bake at 350 covered for one hour or until rice is tender.  NOTE:
During cooking the rice absorbs the liquid and you will find that you will have to add more during the cooking time. You can use either water or milk for
thinning.  I find that stirring this after 30 minutes and adding more liquid then keeps it cooking evenly.
