BAKED BEANS WITH MEAT

Michelle, this baked bean recipe has been use in our family for over 30 years. If you add all the ingredients in the amounts called for they will always turn out the same. The celery is important to the flavor, so don't leave it out.

1 pound of ground beef (I use ground chuck)2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cans pork and beans
 cup onions, chopped
 cup celery, chopped
 cup green pepper, chopped
 cup catsup
 cup brown sugar

Brown and drain ground beef. Mix all ingredients and pour into a bean pot. If desired strip the top with strips of bacon. Bake at 350 oven for 1 hour. The beans are best baked in the oven but I often cook them for several hours in the crockpot. Also, I like to add a little (may be 1/4 - 1/3 cup BBQ sauce per recipe.)
