Question: I WANT THE RECEIPE FOR TOMATO SOUP AND SWEET CORN
VEGETABLE SOUP

Here is the Tomato Soup recipe. Just what is one looking for in this weather.

Tomatoes 3 medium
Carrot 1 small
pepper 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves a handful
Cilantro a handful
Ginger Paste 1 tsp
Vegetable Buillon 1 cube or vegetable stock 1 cup
Butter 1 Tb
Green onions finely chopped
1 TB cream
Salt to taste

Drop the tomatoes in boiling water and cover and set aside for a few moments.
Steam the carrrot. When the tomatoes are cool, peel them and puree them in a
blender with the steamed carrot. Then add the vegetable stock or prepare the vegetable
buillion as per instructions and add it to the abover mixture.
Grind pepper and cumin seeds and add it, salt, curry leaves and cilantro to
the soup and let it simmer. Meanwhile heat the butter in a saucepan and
saute the green onions and ginger paste.
Run the soup through a soup strainer and add the green onions to it.
Your soup is ready. Cool it down a bit and then add 1 TB of heavy cream.
You can reheat the soup when serving ofcourse. Add some crotons of your choice
and serve. My personal favorite is sundried tomatoes flavored crotons.
The pureed carrot gives the soup texture. If u think the soup is still
watery, then add like 1 Tb of cornflour mixed in cold water to the soup
while it is still simmering.
I can't think of a vegetable corn soup yet, but maybe somebody will help u.
As soon as I find it, I will e-mail it to you.

Hi,
I was wondering if you knew of a web site which has information about
Chettinad food and recipes. I would appreciate it if you could mail me the address.
Thanks,
Best regards,
Usha

Hi Usha,
Have you searched Khoj.net ? Or the All India Food & Drink Pages? I think
I have seen Chettinad recipes at www.sanjeevkapoor.com . Can't think of anymore right now.
Maybe somebody else can.
Thanks for visiting my page and keep coming back for more in a few days !
