How many licks did it take for the girls to get to the chocolaty center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop??
Girls We found one outlier in our data. Girl #3 took 2563 licks on her second trial. After calculations, we decided it was definitely an outlier. The following calculations all exclude the outlier.Total- Mean: 1656.1, Median - 1625, Range 1513-1828, Standard Deviation: 125.2
Trial #1- Mean: 1620.4, Median: 1613, Range: 1513-1828, Standard Deviation: 126.68
Trial #2 - Mean: 1745.5, Median: 1745.5, Range: 1689-1807, Standard DeviationL 86.97
Before we removed the outlier, Trial #2's stats looked like this! Mean - 2018, Median - 1807, Range 1624-2563, Standard Deviation: 475.97Isn't it amazing what one outlier can do???
