John Duncanson

He was born  to William Duncanson (1850 1940) a boiler fireman in the clothing mills and Janet Duncanson (nee Ross) (July 9,1848 Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire, Scotland to about 1931)  He married a Forgie and his sister also married a Forgie

He was born March 14th 1879 in Bannockburn near Stirling,Scotland. He married Grace Forgie on March 29, 1901 in Stirling, Scotland. They had 4 children in Stirling, Scotland. John went to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1911. His wife Grace came to join him in 1912. They had 2 more children in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

John went to work at age 9 to work in the mills part time and attended school part time. Apprenticed for 7 years as a plumber-steam fitter-gas fitter-lead fitter. Owned their own plumbing company in Saskatoon.

John (Jack) born May 19th 1905 in Stirling, Scotland died Nov 12 1987 in White Rock, BC

Grace (Aunt Doll) Born June 26th 1909 in Stirling, Scotland died April 9 2001 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She never married and worked at Eatons for years

Jeanette (Janet) Ross born 1911 in Sterling, Scotland  died May 6, 1974 in Vancouver BC

Peter born May 20th 1914 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan died Jan. 11 2000 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Charles born July 7th 1916 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan died March 16 1979 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

The house they built in Saskatoon in 1912 is still there

He died on March 18th, 1957 in  Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
