      Title: Hamburger Heringstoepchen  (salted herring and Apple Sala

      Yield: 4 Servings
 
    1/2 c  Sour Cream
  1 1/2 ts Vinegar
  1 1/2 ts Sugar
    1/2 ts Horseradish
      1    5oz jar pickled Herring
           Drained and Chopped
      1    Apple
           Peeled, Cored and Chopped
           Lettuce Leaves
           Pimiento Strips
 
  Combine Sour Cream, Vinegar, Sugar and Horsradish; blend well.
  Let stand for 10 minutes, Combine herring, Onion, Apple and Pickles;
  toss lightly.
  Chill then serve on Lettuce leaves, Garnish with strips of Pimento..
