      Title: Mandelbrot (Almond Squares)

      1 c  Finely chopped almonds OR
           -- nuts
      2 c  Sugar
      2 c  Flour
      4    Eggs
      1 ts EACH cinnamon and nutmeg
    1/2 ts Ground cardamon seed
      2 ts Baking powder
           Powdered sugar (dusting opt)
 
  Sift and mix dry ingredients well, add beaten eggs. Bake 1/2 hour at
  350ø. Cut into squares while still warm. Ice or dust with powdered
  sugar.
