INGREDIENTS
- 1 pkt Dried Active Yeast (6g)
- 300ml Warm Water (12 floz)
- 1ts Salt
- 1tbs Sugar
- 450g Plain (unbleached) flour (1lb)
- 1 Large Beaten Egg
- Some Coarse Salt

METHOD Dissolve
the yeast in the Warm Water with the Sugar and salt.
Blend in the Flour.
Kneed the dough until smooth. (This will take approx 8
mins) Cover the dough and leave to rise.
When the dough has doubled in size knock it back and cut
it into small peices
Roll each piece into a rope shape and then shape it into
Pretzel shapes.
Place them on a greased baking sheet.
Brush the Pretzels with the beaten egg and then sprinkle
with the coarse Salt
Bake in a hot Oven 425°F 210°C Gas Mark 7
for 10 to 15 minutes untill nicely browned.
