Welcome Band Students and Parents!

This school year we have several exciting performances and events that we are planning.

I'd like to take a moment to tell you about our three upcoming fun-raisers which will facilitate the band's activities this year. Currently, we are selling the Gold C coupon books. These books are available for the cost of $10.00. Please have your child collect the money for the Gold C book when the order is taken. I have sent home a pre-order form with your child. Our goal as a band is to have each m ember sell at least two books.

October 13th we will start the Red Apple Gift fund-raisers. This is a yearly fun-raiser that we participate in. The company has lowered their prices as well as changed (for the better) their prize tier for the students.

This fall we will also be selling a CD or cassette tape of the Dallas Brass performing the Nutcracker. The CD sells for $15.00, the tape $10.00. This would make a great gift for someone who loves music and the best thing is you dont have to worry about it spoiling if you want to wait and give it as a Christmas gift!

I'm sure by now your band student has requested $7.00 to purchase a music book for their band class. Mr. Ernest will be using the "Standard of Excellence" series this calendar school year. This is a great book and I encourage you to take a look through it when your child brings it home.

Mr. Ernest has also revised the band handbook. We are still in the process of editing it but it should be ready within the next couple of weeks.
