CAJUN-STYLE CHICKEN NUGGETS


1 envelope onion soup mix

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts; cut into 1-inch pieces

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon red pepper

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1. In large bowl, combine onion recipe soup mix, bread crumbs, chili
powder, cumin, thyme and pepper. Dip chicken in bread crumb mixture,
coating well.

2. In large skillet, heat 1/2-inch oil and cook chicken over medium heat,
turning once, until done; drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Yields 12 servings (about 5 dozen nuggets)
