Phools are creamy, cooked and blended fruit desserts that can
be made with virtually any fruit like mango, pear, peach, etc.
Here's a recipe for guava phool.
Ingredients
20 ripe guavas, pitted and skinned
1 cup sugar
1 cup whole milk
7 oz (1/2 a can) condensed milk
2 tbsp low fat whipped cream (Lite Cool Whip)
1 tsp cardammom

Method
Slice the fruit and boil in about 1 cup of
water till soft and mushy.
Blend without adding any extra water (you
can use the water used for boiling if needed)
to get a smooth and creamy paste.
Strain to remove any fibers and liquid.
Mix in the milk, condensed milk, cardammom and
the whipped cream.
Whip till a smooth texture is got.
Pour into a glass container and chill for about
2-3 hrs.
Serve in individual dessert bowls.
This makes a very nutritious and tasty dessert.

Note: Follow the same proportions when making phool
with any other fruit. You can reduce the amount of
sugar used if the fruit is too sweet.

Preparation : 10 minutes (exec. chilling time)
Cooking: 25-30 minutes
